Why is video so effective for engaging audiences and driving conversions?

Here are five top ways video moves people to act:

1. Video is highly persuasive: 82% of consumers report being convinced to buy after watching a video. Marketers use video to demonstrate product value, build trust and guide customers toward making a purchase.

2. Video enhances customer understanding: 96% of marketers state that a product demo, explainer or tutorial video helps to break down complex concepts so that potential customers grasp what the brand is offering. A great example is this 30-second video we created for CollegeApp to explain the value of its “machine-learning predictive analytics.”

3. Video drives lead generation: 87% of marketers say video significantly boosts leads by capturing the attention of prospects and delivering valuable content that nurtures the interest of potential customers.

4. Video in an email increases click-through:Rates are as much as 300% higher than for emails without video content. With more engagement, response rates rise and more email recipients become customers.

5. Video attracts social media engagement: Posts with video gain more likes, shares and comments, expanding the brand’s visibility and reach.

Meet Vice President Tom Mikowski

Tom talks to people in outer space. More about that in a minute. The first thing to know about Tom is that he personifies zeal. In his personal life, he pours that energy and enthusiasm into sports, travel, friendships and family. Professionally, Tom’s zeal for innovation, technology and building partnerships has led to 30 years of success in higher education marketing.

As Allied Pixel’s VP of Business Development and Higher Education Partnerships, he brings a wide network and deep experience in video production, virtual tours, photo shoots, print and digital media, and social media campaigns to drive enrollment.

Since the time his adult children were teenagers, Tom has done play-by-play broadcasting for varsity football games at the Michigan high school his kids attended. Last season during a playoff game, he invited on-air shout-outs from fans – expecting the usual responses from relatives in other states and overseas. Then a text came in from an astronaut at the International Space Station. He was listening to cheer on his son, who was playing for the opposing team. “Holy cow!” Tom recalls thinking, “That’s out of this world!”
