MEDIA, PA (October 2016) – Allied Pixel produced a live webcast for Aramark’s major announcement regarding the future of the company in Philadelphia.
Aramark CEO Eric Foss was joined for the event by Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf and Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney on the rooftop of a new center city high rise.
Allied Pixel partnered with The Creative Group and Showorks to produce a live webcast of the event. They also provided an archived version for anyone who wasn’t able to see the event live.
Allied Pixel Director of Technology Pete Bretz commented, “One of the challenges of doing a live webcast is ensuring adequate internet bandwidth to send a high definition signal from the event site to the cloud for transcoding. In this case, there was some concern whether the facility’s in-house internet service would be adequate, given the high level of activity expected that day. We provided a supplemental bonded internet service which combines multiple cell phone services with the in-house internet service. Another option we can provide is dedicated internet service via satellite.”
