Adoption Center of Delaware Valley

Congratulations to our 2010 Partners in Progress award recipient: Adoption Center of Delaware Valley.

The National Adoption Center expands adoption opportunities for children living in foster care throughout the United States, and is a resource to families and to agencies who seek the permanency of caring homes for children. Since its inception in 1972, the Center has facilitated permanent adoptions for more than 20,000 children.

Background

The Partners in Progress Award is an annual program that provides a $25,000 production grant to a deserving nonprofit organization in the greater Philadelphia area. Partners in Progress The grant is for the production of a digital media project of the winner’s choosing, including a website, video or integrated application. Allied Pixel is the program sponsor and performs production services for the winning project. We created the Partners in Progress Award as a way for Allied Pixel to give back to the community. We recognize the tremendous good being done by nonprofits in our region, and want to support their work in a meaningful way.

The Partners in Progress Award was created in 2008. Past recipients include:

  • 2010 - Adoption Center of Delaware Valley
  • 2009 - New Kensington Community Development Corporation
  • 2008 - Bucks County Autism Support Coalition

The mission of the Bucks County Autism Support Coalition is to maximize the personal development of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder through awareness and advocacy, education and training. Allied Pixel was instrumental in helping bring this mission to life. The Allied Pixel Team donated their time and extensive expertise to assist the Coalition’s Education Committee in creating several Autism Videos. The videos will serve as a resource in our community presentations as well as being available for free downloads from our website. Allied Pixel took our dream and helped us turn it into a reality. The Coalition and all that we hope to serve are eternally thankful to Allied Pixel!"

Timeline

The general timeline for the Partners in Progress program is shown below. Please note that the production timeline and launch date are subject to Allied Pixel’s production schedule.

January through March Entries accepted
April Winner announced
June through August Production
September Launch project

Selection Criteria

The winner is chosen by Allied Pixel based on our evaluation of the following criteria:

  • Applicant’s demonstrated need and the benefit the project will provide to them;
  • Clarity and specificity of the applicant’s requested project;
  • Strength of the fit between the applicant’s requested project and Allied Pixel’s production capabilities;
  • Scope of the project falling within the award’s $25,000 grant limit.
  • Applicant’s ability to successfully manage the project.

Applicants who are not selected are encouraged to apply again the following year.
